Cathay Pacific Bestows Presigious Award
Pacific Aviation was recently recognized by
Cathay Pacific Airways when it was named Best Ground
Handling Agent in Passenger Services for 2014.
Copa Airlines Awards LAX
Pacific Aviation recently began performing Passenger Service handling on behalf of Copa Airlines in SFO. That new relationship lead to Pacific Aviation being awarded the Passenger Service contract for LAX, where Copa currently operates three daily flights to Panama City. The new contract is scheduled to take effect on December 1, 2015.
A New Ground Handler for Air New Zealand
Air New Zealand has awarded the contract for Passenger Service at LAX to Pacific Aviation. Air New Zealand operates 22 flights per week out of LAX with Boeing 777 and 767 aircraft, and will now be the second Star Alliance carrier handled by PA in Los Angeles.
Etihad Airways Contract Awarded
Pacific Aviation has been selected to provide Passenger Service and Flight Operations handling on behalf of Etihad Airways beginning with its inaugural flight to LAX. Etihad will operate daily service from LAX to AUH beginning June 1, 2014. Pacific Aviation is honored to have this opportunity to partner with this prestigious airline and looks forward to supporting Etihad Airways growth in the Los Angeles market.
Transportation Department Sold
Pacific Aviation entered into an agreement to sell its transportation department to Airline Crew Transport (ACT). After 14 years providing crew transportation services to some of the world's finest airlines, the Directors decided the time had come to move away from that line of business and return the company's focus to its core business of ground handling. The Directors remain excited about the anticipated growth in Passenger Service handling following completion of major portions of construction on the newly remodeled Tom Bradley International Terminal.
Relationship Established with Centurion Air Cargo
Pacific Aviation has entered into an agreement to provide transportation services to Centurion Air Cargo's crews for its four times weekly service to LAX. Centurion Air Cargo is a privately owned company, founded in 2001 and based in Miami, FL. Centurion is one of the leading cargo airlines operating to and from Latin America and No. 1 in the handling of live animals and perishable goods.
Pacific Aviation Open for Business at SJC
Pacific Aviation has entered into an agreement with All Nippon Airways to provide Flight Operations and Load Control services for its flights at San Jose Mineta International Airport (SJC). ANA operates scheduled daily service to SJC with its all-new Boeing 787 "Dreamliner". Pacific Aviation is the exclusive provider of Flight Operations services to ANA at its California stations, which include LAX, SFO and SJC. This marks the first time Pacific Aviation has opened a new station since 2008.
Korean Airlines Partners with Pacific Aviation
Pacific Aviation was recently awarded the contract to provide Flight Operations services to Korean Airlines in SFO. On March 16, 2011, Pacific Aviation will take over the flight dispatching responsibilities for all of the carrier's passenger and cargo flights in and out of San Francisco International Airport. The company has served Korean Airlines since 2005, providing transportation on behalf of its crews at LAX. Pacific Aviation looks forward to this opportunity to expand it's excellent relationship with this esteemed carrier.
Air Berlin Contract Awarded
Pacific Aviation is pleased to announce that Air Berlin has selected it to provide Ticketing services at both Los Angeles and San Francisco International Airports. Air Berlin operates seasonal service to Germany from both LAX and SFO. The carrier, which isolates its Ticketing functions from the rest of its handling, has chosen to place that responsibility in the hands of Pacific Aviation beginning in May of this year. The company is very pleased to establish this new relationship and looks forward to having Air Berlin among the many fine air carriers that it serves.
